Located in the heart of New York City, the International Center of Photography (ICP) is a world-class museum and school dedicated to exploring the possibilities of the photographic medium through dynamic exhibitions and educational programs. ICP presents a wide range of historical and contemporary photographs in its acclaimed exhibitions, and houses a collection of more than 100,000 original prints that span the history of photography. The School at ICP offers full-time master's and certificate programs, as well as part-time and adult coursework, and its Community Programs Office, which organizes award- winning youth education initiatives, collaborates with local schools, community centers, and other cultural institutions to promote the communicative power of photography.

The Centre for Photographic Research and Registration was founded in 1993. The CRAF performs historical-scientific researches on friulian authors and territories; carries out initiatives for the improvement of photographic culture in all its respects (e.g. the international exhibition of Spilimbergo Fotografia/ Spilimbergo Photography); promotes photographic campaigns on/about the regional territory; plans the acquisition and preservation of photographic funds.

The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) exists to support the conservation professionals who preserve our cultural heritage. As the only national membership organization in the United States dedicated to the preservation of cultural material, the AIC plays a crucial role in establishing and upholding professional standards, promoting research and publications, providing educational opportunities, and fostering the exchange of knowledge among conservators, allied professionals, and the public.

The Image Permanence Institute (IPI) is a university-based, nonprofit research laboratory devoted to scientific research in the preservation of visual and other forms of recorded information. It is the world's largest independent laboratory with this specific scope. IPI was founded in 1985 through the combined efforts and sponsorship of the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Society for Imaging Science and Technology. Funding for IPI's preservation research and outreach efforts has come mainly from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. IPI is a provider of information, consulting services, practical tools, and preservation technology for libraries, archives, and museum collections worldwide. IPI's staff works in six principal areas: research on the stability of information media, collection management and environmental standards, ISO standards development for imaging media preservation, testing of archival and imaging materials, training of photograph conservators (in collaboration with George Eastman House), outreach through publications and consultation.

La Fundació Foto Colectania es una entidad privada sin ánimo de lucro que se inauguró en Barcelona en el año 2002 y cuya finalidad es difundir la fotografía y el coleccionismo a través de exposiciones, actividades (coloquios, seminarios, viajes) y la edición de catálogos.

Foto Colectania cuenta además con una colección de fotografía que reúne más de 2.000 obras de autores españoles y portugueses desde 1950 hasta la actualidad. Además, dispone de una biblioteca de consulta libre y de una cámara de conservación donde se guarda el fondo fotográfico, el archivo de Paco Gómez (donado por su familia en 2001) y el depósito de una parte de la colección de Juan Redón.

La fundación se financia en gran parte gracias a la ayuda de los patrocinadores, amigos y socios de la fundación y colaboraciones externas.
